Crime Impact Statement Awarded RTPI Commendation
Design for Security are proud to announce that our award-winning Crime Impact Statement service has received a commendation from the RTPI (Royal Town Planning Institute).
The commendation was formally received at a regional RTPI conference on the 3rd December 2010, at the Lowry Digital World Centre, Salford Quays.
Mike Eastham of South Ribble Council, as the RTPI Northwest Awards Co-ordinator, described the commedation in saying:
"The work that has been carried out on the Crime Impact Statement by the Greater Manchester Police and Manchester City Council, which has now been rolled out to all 10 Local Authorities in Greater Manchester, is ground breaking in terms of its scale and importance in designing out crime and addressing the fear of crime. The development of the Crime Impact Statement is innovative and is an example of best practice, which deserves a commendation and should be rolled out both Regionally and Nationally".
