Best Practice for Cycle Storage
Design for Security has released a best practice guide for designing cycle storage, which has been welcomed by the Trafford Cycle Forum. The guidance covers a various methods of parking hardware from stands to enclosures, and in what circumstances they should be used.
Advice is also given with regards to maintenance and management of parking systems, as well as recommended 'setting out' dimensions for optimum safety, security and useability.
The details within the guide should prove useful to architects, designers and specifiers in creating appropriate cycle facilities for a range of applications, whether new build or retrospective, residential, commercial or public.
